Nitromors All Purpose Paint And Varnish Remover 4L

Preparation:

• Ensure that surfaces to be stripped are clean and dry to maximise the performance of this product. Brush down with a stiff brush to remove surface dirt and debris if required.
• Wear protective clothing when applying this product and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure adequate ventilation when using this product and especially so in confined spaces.

Application:

• Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and performance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
• Decant Nitromors Paint & Varnish Remover into a suitable glass or metal container.
• Work in small areas of no greater than 0.5 square metre, ideally out of direct sunlight.
• Apply a thick coat by brush with a dabbing action, ideally 2-3mm thick and do not brush out.
• Wait until the paint has blistered (usually about 10 minutes) and then apply another coat, this time working Nitromors remover into the blistered paint.
• Leave up to 40 minutes but do not allow to dry out.
• Apply more remover if necessary
• To minimise contact with vapours, leave work area between applications
• Remove blistered or softened paint with a stripping knife
• Use a shavehook or old nylon toothbrush in difficult areas such as corners, rebates and beading.
• Remove traces of stubborn or ingrained paint by rubbing with coarse wire wool dipped in Nitromors
• If any paint remains repeat the above process
• Wash down with liquid detergent in cold water (use white spirit on fine woods to avoid raising the grain), then rub down with fine wire wool dipped in the water or white spirit.
• Allow to dry thoroughly
• Rub down with either fine sandpaper, wire wool or other abrasive

Please note: The use of wire wool or steel wool is not recommended on Oak as it can blacken the wood

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
