Polyvine Heavy Duty Floor Varnish

10-20 square metres per litre

Preparation:

• Thoroughly sand in the direction of the grain to remove all traces of old finishes and dirt, oil and contamination.
• Old floors can be impregnated with wax and grease - this will cause failure and must be completely removed.
• On new wood or if the old finish is in good condition, lightly sand to provide a key.
• Thoroughly clean after sanding. 

Application:

• Ensure the product is well mixed.
• Apply 3 coats of varnish. Allow 2 hours in between coats and 16 hours after final coat before full use.
• On new wood and porous surfaces dilute the first coat 10% with water.
• Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain that may have occurred.
• When using dead flat finish, if a very high level of durability and stain resistance is required, apply one or two coats of Heavy Duty Floor Varnish Satin Finish followed by one or two coats of Heavy Duty Floor Varnish Dead Flat Finish. 

Caution:

• Always apply to a test area before starting work.
• Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats.
• Do not apply over uncured oil paints.

• Any equipment used can be cleaned using soap and water before the clear coat dries.
• Wipe any excess off surfaces with a damp cloth.
• Any dried deposits will need a paint stripper to remove them.

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
