Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer Plus is a water based preservative basecoat for use as part 1 of the Dulux Weathershield Exterior Gloss system.

Penetrates and seals new bare wood and protects against water damage, decay and blue stain fungi.

Weathershield Preservative Primer + when combined with Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat and Gloss paints provides up to 8 years protection against the weather.

Application Instructions

Application: Brush only. Do not spray. MIX THOROUGHLY BY SHAKING THE CONTAINER BEFORE USE. Pour out a sufficient amount of primer for the job into a suitable container. Do not thin. Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from any surface coating, mould or algae before use. Use pre-treated timber for in ground contact situations. Apply two even coats. Allow 24 hours for second coat to dry. Lightly sand before application of Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat, or Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat.

Cleaning

After use, remove as much primer as possible from equipment before cleaning with water.

Storage

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
