Preparation:

New Surfaces:

• All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
• Remove any site debris and sweep floor clean.
• Any oil or grease from site plant/works must be removed with an emulsifying de-greaser in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Floor areas to be coated should be acid etched to remove surface laitance using a proprietary mortar cleaner diluted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues.
• Allow to dry.
• Prime all areas to be coated with one coat of Crown Trade Fast Drying Concrete Floor Paint.

Previously Decorated Surfaces:

• All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
• Remove loose and failing material by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush to a sound edge.
• Any oil, grease, polish etc. must be removed with an emulsifying de-greaser in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• For surface dirt wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues.
• Allow to dry.
• Feather edges of sound coatings and mechanically dry abrade any glossy surfaces to provide a key.
• Remove all dust by vacuum cleaning.
• Patch prime all bare areas (including any areas of making good) with one coat of Crown Trade Fast Drying Concrete Floor Paint.
• Bring forward patch primed areas with one coat of Crown Trade Fast Drying Concrete Floor Paint within 48 hours of drying.

Application:

• Stir well before use.
• Apply by brush or roller.
• Always intermix packs for colour consistency.
• Apply two coats as required.
• Maintain a wet edge.
• The second coat must be applied within 48 hours.

• Return surplus material to container.
• Clean with a proprietary cleaner immediately after use.

Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
